The ICT Center houses five(5) computer laboratories equipped with 40 upgraded computer units to meet the increasing computer needs of the students in all courses.
The primary purpose of computer laboratory resources is for academic research, study and class assignments.
The computer laboratory is used by students to study the various applications of computers and other information technologies. Each laboratory is equipped with 41 computer units (40 for students use and 1 for faculty) installed with the latest versions of application software for educational use.
Each computer laboratory is fully ventilated with air-conditioning units, networked computer units and installed with advanced operating systems, application software and programming languages.
The provision of such advanced and state-of-the-art computer laboratories is in respond to the increasing computing needs of the students, particularly the Information Technology program and to prepare them to be globally competitive in their field of expertise.
Laboratory Rules and Regulations
Students are expected to wait for their instructors before entering the laboratory room
The seating arrangement prepared by the Instructor must be maintained for the entire semeester. A student, therefore, is held responsible for the computer unit assigned to him during the period.
In the event that a computer is malfunctioning, the student concerned should report it to Instructor immediately so that proper action could be taken.
Diskettes for laboratory use, which were required by the Instructor, should be given back at the end of the class period. No one is allowed to bring home diskettes. Conversely, students are not allowed to bring in personal diskettes or USB flash drives that are not required in the subject.
Eating inside the computer room is strictly prohibited.
Use the computer units wisely and conscientiously; playing of any computer game is strongly discouraged.
Students are not allowed to transfer peripherals from one computer to another.
Computer overtime shall only be allowed for students who have secured permit slips duly signed by the MIS Head and properly endorsed by the Instructor.
Students are also enjoined to practice simple housekeeping by seeing to it that their respective areas are free from litter.
Before leaving the room, students should seet to it that everything is in order; the keyboard and mouse are neatly placed on the table and the chairs are also kept in place.
